Nov Update

Greetings from Tepic,

We are so very excited to be done with October...  It was a very hard month for us.

The first week everyone was sick... fever, headache and body aches...  We lived through but found out later that Dingue was very strong this year so it may have been that...either way we ALL got better.   And it didn’t stop us from doing our planned events!

However God did have a little something to say about us getting into Las Pilas.  The rainy season is really late this year and beca;use of that the Government hasn’t been able to get in and rebuild the bridge...hence we did not get itno see anyone.  The following week... we did get a call from Raul saying that Margarita was in the local hospital with their first little girl (4 boys 18-8)!!  They got to come and stay with us for a few days before heading back to Las Pilas... Yep they got a cross on a 4X4...our van still wouldn’t make it..

Our next trip was to El Roble...We had recieved several bags of clothes to take to the village.  The women and even some of the guys really got into shopping!!  Everyone went home with 6 to 9 new pieces of clothes!  Next month Bedding and Blankets go as the nights are getting cooler for them!

We were also able to Minister in the Prison, Teucala, Tuxpan, Pochotitan, and do Car Ministry.  (We being Mike and I or Mike and Jon or just Mike...)

This past week was hard for us too, as we said Goodbye to our Cat Amor.  She had been with us for over 9 years and was one of the family she will be missed!

Well.. Next month looks busy too... and for 12 days I (Becky) will be in the USA meeting the newest Grandbaby...Christine Jöelle Holt.   She is due any day and maybe waiting for me to get there. J   You can call me at 909-649-4339 !

Blessings to you... and have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Mike and Becky

October in MX

Greetings from Mexico

What a month for change… Jon Arrived Sept 2nd.. and we were off and running… That weekend was the first gathering of the One Mexico One Prayer movement… two weeks later we gathered at the fair grounds and had over 1000 people come together in unity.. On the 26th we had the last event at the Theater…over 1000 people inside and about 300 outside watching on a big screen!!

Mike has already gotten Jon on the camera at Vida and he is doing well. There are so many aspects to what we do.. Jon is getting a pretty good view of what it is all about. This month we have been able to get to Pochotitan (if only for a few minutes…the car was leaking)

It was a fairly painless fix and we were back on the road to El Roble… Mike, Bruno, Jon and I were able to take with us two boxes of clothes and food supplies for the members of the church. We also gave the school kids goodie bags full of school supplies. After we had lunch we had a small service Mike shared and Pastor Luis reshared in Huichol. All the ladies came forward for prayer!

Mike has also been into the Prison twice this month… last week there were two guys that gave their hearts to the Lord. God is really doing some great things there.

We have also been notified that our IAM office is moving… The current return envelopes will continue to work for a few months.. and I’ll have them all changed by January 2010.  They are moving to Cleveland... nothing else changed... it's still IAM... check it out on the new website!!

Next month doesn’t look like it will slow down at all… Tecuala, Tuxpan, Pochotitan, El Roble, Las Pilas and of course Vida!

Update for September.. 2009

Greetings from Mexico!!!

It has finally started to rain (with a little help from Hurricane Jemina)…but nothing like the last few years. It has been staying hot BUT we have Electric!!! We have fans!!! And we’ll make it through!

The many faces of Mike!!!
He wears many hats… but it’s always the same loveable Mike under each of them… weather he is setting up to show a movie in Tuxpan, Ready to share the Word of the Lord in Pochotitan or run the video camera in the Church on Sunday for television… He does it with all His heart. He is seen twice a month going into the prison and has had a great impact on not only inmates…but the guards as well. God opens the doors…we just have to be obedient and walk through them.

Jon Fleming from Cape Girardeau, MO will begin his 6 month internship with us the coming week. We are as excited as he is because of some of the neat things that have been added to the calendar. Lots of work and some play time as well!

I’ve been busy too but then there is only one me so it is difficult to take pictures of what I do!! This month Karina spent the day with me to sort through all the school supplies we had been given in the USA. All together we made over 45 bags of supplies for the children in two different villages. Each bag had a pencil box, crayons, markers, colored pencils, pencil sharpner, ruler, black pencils, glue and loose paper as well as note books for school. Karina will be helping again as we begin the sort of all the Christmas goodies. We plan on making up and giving away over 100 shoe box gifts in at least three different villages. For the men we hope to have a hygiene bag and for the women we are looking at making up Mary Kay goodie bags! God has been so generous through our friends and supporters in the USA…that we can be generous in the villages as well. Karina and her husband Bruno and maybe their two little girls will be helping deliver them along with Mike and Jon and myself to the different villages!

We have a new website… since geocities is closing in Oct we have purchased our own domain!!! I guess we have finally reached the 21st century! Check it out www.makuelker.com I’ll keep working on it until it is all that it can be. You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter, Xanga, My Church (makuelker) and My Space at (kuelker_missions)

On Facebook you can also find us as a group and check out the Apps Sponsor me and Kuelker Missions Causes.

God continues to provied our daily needs as well as all of our ministry needs through faithful supporters in the USA. Even in these hard times in the USA and around the world. Our FM3 does not allow us to work for pay in Mexico, making it hard to be tent makers.

Paypal does NOT allow us to give you a tax receipt but the Causes on Face book does. Thank you for your continued Prayers and Support!

TALK TO YOU NEXT MONTH!

August Update

Greetings from Mexico…

It was warm here when we returned and no signs of the normal rainy season as of yet. So it is staying hotter than normal (Global Warming??) J

Praise Report!!!!

Our crossing was right out of the book of ACTS...  I had been really fretting over us getting back into MX with all the news I was hearing all over the USA...  and God said... "What??  Just Trust me!"   So i figured I had better just let God be in charge!!  Boy was I ever smart.. (giggle)  We decided not to go across the day before like we usually do but to wait until the morning we were leaving to get the papers.. we also left a little later than we usually do...due to a brother bringing me donuts!!   Anyway... as we crossed everyone was getting stopped and searched...so no big deal.. Mike pulled over and showed him his Mexican Paperwork (our Pastor Credientials) and they said no problem...we went all of about 20 feet and the military stopped us again (you'd think they could work together?)  anyway, they had us open the trailer to be checked too.  Again...we got the wave to go forward...  We stopped and got our paper work and were off to the 20 mile check point (this is where we have had issues in the past)...we got the green light but of course due to the trailer were asked to pull over to be searched...as Mike was asking which bay to pull into the guy doing the searching recognized us...waved and waved us on... we didn't even have to stop.  Now I don't know about you.. but I believe GOD'S TIMING is perfect!!!

When we got back we jumped right back into the work. The first week we spent unpacking the trailer and looking over our schedule. Then on to VBS…Becky set up and worked the Biblia Pesos Store all week. Biblia Pesos were rewarded to the students for Bible memory verses, participation and for getting caught being Christ Like!

Mike got busy as well. Heading off to the Prison twice this month …taking them new books and Bibles, as well as several pair of used Tennis shoes! They have changed the rules and time a bit since April… and the second visit I was sure he had been locked in as he had to be out of the prison by 2:30 or be locked in and it was already 3. By 3:30 he got home telling me that the rules had changed yet again (due to two escapees) Now once you go in you stay in until 3pm…NO EXCEPTIONS! I was glad to have him home!

We also have been to two villages and have set up the monthly meeting in each… One will be movies and the other will be teachings. Although they both had Mike share and also about our trip to the States!

We are hoping to have our first Intern arriving the end of August –first of September… Be praying that his (Jon) support comes in so that he can come and work along side of us for the next 6 months.  He will be using IAM as his 501 c3 organization as well.

Blessings until next month….
